Atlantic Staffing Consultants is seeking a dependable Skid Steer Operator with Industrial Maintenance experience to join our team. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with strong potential for long-term employment with a reputable company following a successful probationary period.
Key Responsibilities of the Skid Steer Operator:
Operate skid steers safely and efficiently in accordance with company policies and safety standards
Perform industrial maintenance, including but not limited to maintenance and repair of balers, forklifts, and skid steers
Complete preventive maintenance (PMs) on equipment as scheduled
Assist with additional maintenance duties as discussed during the in-person interview
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily operational goals
Requirements of the Skid Steer Operator:
Minimum of 2 years of skid steer operating experience
Mechanical aptitude with willingness to learn or prior industrial maintenance experience
Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects as required
Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment safely
Comfortable working in non-climate-controlled environments and outdoors in all weather conditions (hot summers and cold winters)
Strong attendance record and flexibility to work overtime or weekends when required
Above-average communication and teamwork skills
Steel-toed boots required on the first day of work
Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and background check (criminal and employment verification)
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. (E-Verify used)
Pay & Schedule of the Skid Steer Operator:
Pay: $19/hour, depending on experience and skill level
Pay is negotiable during the in-person interview
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Overtime and weekends as required
Direct-hire eligibility after 700 hours
